Project Title: Elegant Wedding Website & RSVP Portal

Project Description:

This project involved creating a beautiful and functional wedding website for a couple referred to me by a previous, highly-satisfied client. The groom saw a site I had built for a friend's wedding and specifically sought me out to create a similar elegant experience for his own ceremony.

The primary goal was to build a central hub for all wedding information that would also serve as a seamless RSVP collection system. The site needed to showcase the couple's story through a photo gallery, provide guests with all essential event details, and offer the clients an easy way to manage and export attendance data.

Key Features:

• Comprehensive Event Information: A beautifully laid-out page with all ceremony and reception details, schedule, venue directions, and accommodation options.
• Integrated Photo Gallery: A dedicated section to display the couple's engagement or pre-wedding photoshoot, allowing guests to share in their story.
• Streamlined RSVP System:
  • A custom RSVP form built with Contact Form 7 to collect guest names, meal selections, and dietary restrictions.
  • All submissions were captured and organized using the Flamingo plugin.
  • One-Click Data Export: Provided the client with an easy way to export all RSVP submissions directly from the WordPress dashboard into an Excel sheet for seamless seating chart and catering management.

Challenges & Solutions:

• Challenge: Creating a system that was incredibly easy for wedding guests of all ages to use, while being powerful enough for the client to manage data effectively.
• Solution: Designed an intuitive, multi-step RSVP form with clear labels and a mobile-first approach. Implemented Flamingo to store all data securely and enable simple export functionality.
• Challenge: Meeting the high expectations set by the previous project the client had admired.
• Solution: Leveraged the existing successful framework while fully customizing the design, color scheme, and content to reflect the unique personality and story of this new couple.

Impact:

The website successfully became the central information point for the wedding, significantly reducing repetitive questions for the couple. The RSVP system streamlined the entire attendance tracking process, saving them countless hours of manual work. The client was thrilled with the final product, stating it perfectly captured their vision and exceeded the site that had originally inspired them to make the referral.
