Ascend YDI
Project Title: Ascend Youth Leadership & Development Institute – NGO Website for Canadian Youth
Role: Web Developer & Content Strategist
Tools Used: WordPress, Elementor
Project Description:
AYLDI is a Canadian nonprofit organization focused on equipping youth—particularly international students—with leadership skills, career clarity, and pathways to navigate the Canadian job and immigration landscape. I was brought into this project through a client recommendation.
The client provided a clear site structure and content overview, trusting me to handle everything else. My role was to transform their vision into a fully functional, visually engaging website that communicates their unique value proposition: bridging the gap between skills and clarity for careers and global pathways in Canada.
From design and development to full content writing and structuring, I delivered a complete website that allowed the client to remain hands-off throughout the entire process.

Challenges & Solutions:

-
Solution: Took full ownership of content creation, translating their vision into clear, persuasive, and structured copy across all pages.
Challenge: The client wanted to remain completely hands-off during development.
-
Solution: Delivered a fully realized website based solely on their initial structure and overview, requiring no back-and-forth for content or design decisions.
